Christmas Delights

What are the things that delight you during the holiday season? I love the lights, which you already know by now. Getting together with family, finding the perfect gift, hearing from a far-away friend, new pictures of the granchildren, Silent Night, nostalgia, and Christmas movies top my list. I'm sure I'm forgetting something :)
Here are a few of my Christmas movies:
  • Sleepless in Seattle
  • The Christmas Shoes
  • Borrowed Hearts
  • While You Were Sleeping
  • A Season for Miracles
  • Christmas in Canaan- added this year.
  • And I love this movie but don't know the name. It's like a Wonderful Life only the female version with Marlo Thomas and I've only seen it air twice in many years.

KaileenElise inspires more delights. Check out her blog on my list of blogs visited.

Oh yes, movies and television specials ... they help to set the mood and are an opportunity for family together time.

We always watch "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" together and of course I need my "Miracle on 34th Street" and then whatever else happens to be on or catches my fancy at that moment.

I just watched "The Family Stone" and needed lots of tissues of course! I also love the one with Ben Affleck when he buys a family for Xmas, but can't remember the name of it. My favorite movie is "Elf". I love the scene when he spots "Santa" in Macys, makes me laugh just thinking about it!

Hello sweetest Grace Gal! I had a visit from our mutual friend Sherry this morning, in the flesh!! I got to actually hug her. She is a great woman.

I also opened my mail, and you dear YOU who I only JUST met, were my first postcard. Was my first postcard. How do I say that? Anyways, the first postcard arrived today from you!

It is beautiful, and I loved what you wrote to me. I will share it if you don't mind in early January, but for now I will link your blog and thank you so much! You are a kind woman and I wish you a year of happiness, health & love for 2010, and beyond.
