I admit I have been discouraged with the wrecking process. Last week as I listened to Jamie, the thought kept coming to me to throw my book out in the rain. So I did. I rescued it about an hour later and haven't touched it again until this morning.
Letting go is to be my life lesson to learn over and over.
Before we officially started WJ, I had visions of tearing into the creative landscape of possiblity. The truth is I am moving at a snail's pace watching the blur of others speed by.

Ah, Grace Gal, just exactly what has happened to me this week. I had nothing to show for the week and didn't even post, but feel the need to check in on all the others.
I've "shelved" my journal for the time being, hoping that I'd begin to think about this whole "wrecking" thingy in a different light, and maybe try again next week.

oh don't worry..it will come :)
Putting it in the rain is a giant step, so don't worry about moving at a slower pace. Work at your own speed and you'll be just fine! Happy wrecking!
There's plenty of time. Just think what interesting wrinkly pages you have made by leaving the book out in the rain!
Maybe you are taking more time to experience the journey and taking time to sniff the flowers? *hug*
I haven't done anything like drawing, painting or coloring in so many years that I'm tearing through the journal. Maybe you are more satisfied with where you are creatively that you aren't desperate to act out?! Could be. Could be that you just aren't in the mood. Well, still, you got it wet - I've not been that brave yet.
You threw your book out in the rain and left it there? Trust me. No one is speeding past you! That's awesome! :)
The truth is, after my initial enthusiasm... I'm done -- there is only so much wrecking a person can do, and i'm done being creative too, at least in WTJ -- and I have other creative things I want to do. I did like meeting new people like you though!
You know rain is a cleansing thing :) perfect symbolism there! Got crayons?! :)
What was it like to throw it in the rain? To rescue it? If there's been lots of letting go for you, Gracegal, what would you like to choose for your journal instead? You get to bring what you want to the adventure :)
I feel like I'm moving pretty slowly too. I think the raindrops on your journal are beautiful.
interesting isn't it - all the emotions this darn book is stirring up for folks!
