All Mine - WJ #4

Jamie's video this week really spoke to me- an aha moment so to speak. I was comparing my journal to everyone else's. Now that I see, it seems silly - but when you're caught in that trap, it's not. The truth sets me free.
As Jamie was speaking,I heard the words, " Be yourself." Thus I went out and picked a few of my flowers still wet from the rain and pressed them in my journal. It feels more like mine already with the yellow petals sticking out.
The red is my paper airplane. It's been years since I made one of those. Rough, but all mine:)

Bravo for claiming your journal! You're right, it's easy to get caught in it, and wonderful once we get free.

The flowers are so pretty.

pretty flowers... I remember pressing flowers as a kid and as they dry they leave pretty marks on the page as well as beautiful pressed flowers...

Gorgeous flowers and Yay to You for laying claim to *your* truth....I think that's where we're all meant to end up in this....

I love the thought of the flowers bringing the raindrops with them into the journal capturing that lovely freshness after a shower - not just flower pressing; but 'moment' messing!

Your journal looks so happy and content with the cheerful petals and red paper plane sticking out of it. Here's to freedom!

I had a similar revelation this week and I am very happy to be doing something different with my journal - something "me".

Hey there! The flower gardener in me sez "Rock ON!" the creativity person sez "Wreck on!" and golly, there is a cousin to your sweet purple pansy in my own book -- here the press page has pink rose petals and a tiny little blue viola face in it. Love those blooms! Enjoy your grandkids and campering time!!!
