Fun, Finds, and Freezing

I left you early Saturday morning to spend the day at the Caribou city wide yard sale with my friend Barb and her family. I was so exhausted yesterday I barely made it to church :)

We had a ball despite the cold temperatures. I had to buy a huge fleece pullover at a yard sale to put over my jacket in order to make it through the day. I tried to talk one woman in to selling me her gloves, all to no avail.

Barb, an avid garage sale gal, has passed her passion on to her daughters and granddaughters. Thus at every sale, we pulled up in two cars and out piled the eight of us. They teased me that I wouldn't make it to the end of the day.
"People who go with us never return the following year,"they warned.

Determination kept me warm and energized from 7:15 am to 5:00pm when we finally stopped for supper.

Her daughter picked up the find of the day, a rustic black shelf for $10.

I found a few books, a couple of old suitcases and a frame that I'll share later. All in all, it was the fun and friendship that stood out above all else.

Marking my calendar for next year :)
