God Chuckles
I kept sensing the Holy Spirit nudging me to check my email, which made NO sense, but I know enough to pay attention to those holy nudges.
Quickly, I skimmed through the daily inboxes. At the end was a devotional with this verse: Martha, Martha, you are worried about too many things.
I burst out laughing.
"Okay, God I hear you." :)
As I headed out the door, I thought I heard Him chuckling.

Puzzle of Doors
Today she finished a puzzle of doors and then Hubby took us to lunch and the mall where we had a ball :)
It doesn't get any better than a week with the granddaughter!

My Treasures
My list goes on and on :)
At the top are my daughter and her daughters.
One of the greatest joys in my life is this girl. Oh how I treasure her!
McKenna, I have loved this week with you, dear Granddaughter!

Morning Glory
She has been sleeping in so I unplug my phone in the mornngs.I may have discovered a key through this simple act.
Sitting with my tea and Bible, I find myself relaxing and able to listen for the Lord's voice.
No interruptions. No phone calls. Hubby is not running in. Sweet peace. I have found the extra time encouraging and settling somehow.

Reading Ride
I used to get carsick if I read while traveling. Years ago a friend prayed for me and I have been enjoying my books via car ever since.
Thus I spent the weekend with my nose in a book. Several actually :)

Spring Hugs
We are five hours south of home and I feel like we stepped into a new world.
Yesterday as we traveled into this sunshine I had a moment that I felt hugged by God. Those moments are priceless.

Winter 's Light
A dreary week followed a snowy Easter. I am hungry for the sunshine. My plans were high to accomplish many things on my list, but it didn't happen. Winter fights to maintain its hold on our weather, our bodies, and our spirits here in Maine. The flu is raging, the clouds are heavy, and all seems grey and tired.
Hope lies in the knowledge that Spring will break through.
I began the week in 1 Samuel 2 with Hannah's prophetic declaration of prayer and praise over her family. Did she know it would affect a nation? She, too, had to walk the path of winter, promises seemingly buried deep, unfulfilled while the voice of others' blessings taunted her.
Perhaps it is traveling the long way around that forges the faith which will change a nation, when all we want is to change our family, protect them and be happy.
God always has a bigger plan. His heart is the same as ours, His family much larger.

Happy Easter
Hubby is sleeping in the recliner and I am spending my morning before the Lord. A rather unusual Easter for us. Last year this time, we were in church with a large crowd of family and friends.
Never box God into the same thing, because He loves surprises and delights in variety!

Movie Magic
Here I am, on a Saturday afternoon, waiting for The Hunger Games to begin.
Just like when I was a kid, minus the phone and blogging and Internet. Oh, how things have changed!

Is It Dried Up?
I am.
Today was my day to catch up. I am working on February in Project Life Clementine. In order to to recall some sequence of events in that month, I pulled out my journal. I had recorded my prayers and scriptures and several dreams, but not many events.
Next I turned to my index card Journaling Box. That helped. February held two surprise visits that I loved and have pictures for. I quickly typed up a synopsis of the month and added it to my album.
Having neglected to unplug my phone, two phone calls later and prayers for each, I turned back to my album with discouragement. It was time to get supper in the oven.
The truth is that somewhere along the way, this has become a project I can't keep up with and the joy has seeped out of it.
Supper is cooking and I am blogging. That counts for something.
Default - I am heading back to the book I've been reading until hubby comes home.

Elusive Spring
But alas, spring has gone back into hiding here in northern Maine. I awoke this morning to a steady snowfall. Weather forecast is cold and windy.
I spent part of my day working on a message for the spring women's conference and the other part answering the phone, the door and odds and ends.
This evening I am settling into another book on my kindle. Hoping to wake up tomorrow with inspiration for Project Life and a sewing project needing my attention.

Signs of Spring
Today, however, is April. What a delight to turn the calendar and the corner closer to spring!
My photo was transformed in Percolator.
