Begin Again

Hello October.
Where did September disappear to? I barely knew she was here.
Sunday morning and I'm floundering. Unsettled. Wondering.
Psalm 20 has been my reading this week. Today it tells me that God will grant my heart's desires. He will fulfill my petitions.
I try to read elsewhere.
Unbelief battles hope.
Wash away the dust of past experience, Lord.
Deposit fresh faith.
Begin Again.
A new season of grace.

If an Apple a Day keeps the Doctor Away, I'm Good for A Month!

What busy days since I last posted!

We had a wonderful time with our grandchildren over the weekend.

One of our treats was going apple picking. I've eaten more apples in the past few days than I have all year long

Seasons Shift

Can you see the little squirrel in the tree? He's been sitting in the same nook of the tree chattering for quite a while.

I understand, little squirrel, I didn't want it to rain either.

I'm at the camper packing up things this week. As autumn has settled in, so has the time arrived for longer sleeves, warmer blankets, and thoughts of the winter ahead.

I sadly watched my neighbors tarp their camper yesterday as they prepare to leave for Florida. They will journey south, I north.

Where will you be, little squirrel?

A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes

Do you remember that song from a Disney movie? A dream is a wish your heart makes.

At lunch today, a friend was telling me about a course she was taking with the theme of not giving up on your dreams.

Then tonight as I was looking through my last issue of
Where Women Create
I came across this article on The Dream.

As life moves along and seasons change, dreams change and sometimes get buried until you forget what they were.

What are your dreams?
Is the light green, red or yellow right now?
Love to sit down over a cup of tea and chat with you but since that's unlikely, leave a comment. Love to hear from you.

Unusual Holy Places

You just never know how a day may unfold.

I've been praying each morning lately for wisdom, for God to send his angels out to sift and sort out my path, for divine additions and divine subtractions. Each day has held it's own surprises.

Today I planned to spend the morning at the Trash & Treasure show with a friend. It was her first experience and she loved it.

After lunch, hubby & I were to attend a family function. He worked later than we thought and I had an unusual peace about this change in plans.

We ended up at a family yard sale where I spent an hour over tea with a mother in distress. At first I found myself trying to give her answers, but nothing felt right. The words were coming from my head. Sending up a quick prayer for help, I opened my heart and words flowed. We cried together and prayed for God to protect her son and give her wisdom.

As we said goodbye, I knew God had knit our hearts together as only he can.

A simple yard sale can become a holy place when yielded to God.

This one came from Youtube via Pinterest. You may have seen it before but it's worth a few minutes.

Color My World in Love

Source: flickr.com via Paula on Pinterest

Lord Jesus,

I love spending time with you. Let's hang out together.

Let's people watch and feel the breeze and see the butterflies and smile and laugh.

A hummingbird flits by.

Oh, there's a game of hopscotch in colored chalk! Isn't colored chalk amazing?
Chalk was just white when I was a little girl.

I love color!
You created color.
You are color.

Color my world, Lord.

Color, color, color.
